Instructions: Have everyone sit in a
tight circle. Explain to the
participants that they are about to be reinvented as a person. They will be told who they are, where they
are, and what they are doing. Have
everyone think of a famous person. Then
each person whispers to the person on their right whom he or she was thinking
of.
For example, If Angie is
sitting to the left of Andy, Angie would whisper Little Red Riding Hood in his
ear. Andy is now Little Red Riding
Hood. Angie and everyone else in the
circle should also know who they are any famous person or character.
1. ......Angie whispers----->Little Red
Riding Hood-----> to Andy
Remind the players to remember who they are.
Now everyone leans to the left and
whispers where the person on his or her left is. Andy, without any clue as to who she is, will
now tell Angie where she is.
For example, Andy could tell Angie she is at the North Pole. Andy and everyone else in the circle should
now know who they are and where they are.
2. To Angie <-----north andy="andy" pole="pole" span="span" whispers="whispers">-----north>
Have everyone stand up and change
seats. Again, have everyone whisper to
the person on their right what that person
is doing. They can be doing anything from taking a nap
to playing in the Super Bowl. At this
point the players should know who they are, where they are, and what they are
doing.
3. ......Angie whispers-----You are taking a
nap-----> to Bill
Now, take turns going around the
circle and one by one act out whom he or she is, where he or she is, and what
he or she is doing, while the rest of the group tries to guess.
Leader's Hints: This can be a fun game to help participants
loosen up some and meet at least three people.
Don't make the person act out his or her new found identity for too
long. If the group can't guess it quickly,
just let the player tell who he or she is.
If you want to play the more advanced version, have each tell each other
what his or her person is wearing as well.
