Recogntion for a Departing Staff Person


PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

 

 

Subject:  Voluntary Separation Recognition Policy

 
Note:  All pastors who depart will have a church wide reception.

 

·         5 years of service

-Recognition in the weekly bulletin and worship service

-Reception for all staff members and the departing staff person's team of volunteers

 

·         10 years of service

-Recognition in the weekly bulletin and worship service

-Church wide reception

-Service award (plaque)

-Gift-monetary value 5% of salary*

 

·         15 years of service

-Recognition in the weekly bulletin and worship service

-Church wide reception

-Service award (plaque)

-Gift-monetary value 7.5% of salary*

 

 

·         20 years of service

-Recognition in the weekly bulletin and worship service

-Church wide reception

-Service award (plaque)

-Gift-monetary value 10% of salary*

 

·         25 years of service or more

-Recognition in the weekly bulletin and worship service

-Church wide reception

-Service award (plaque)

-Gift-monetary value 12.5% of salary*

 

All recognition costs to be born by the ministry/department for which the staff member works. All recognition events and cost proposals to be reviewed by the Executive Director of Operations before scheduling events or incurring costs associated with any recognition.

 

(*Gifts may be funded by a freewill offering announced by the church and/or budget expenditure)
