The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness doesn’t extinguish the light.

Light the candles.
Who wants to blow out these candles?
(of course, they won't blow out).
Jesus came as the light of the world (lite candle), but Satan used wicked men to try and put out this light by crucifying Him (blow out).
But no matter how hard they try, they can't blow out the light of Jesus Christ. Christ is eternal.
You can compare these candles to other candles that you can blow out, and you might bring these as well. Our favorite TV show will someday no longer be on the air. The flowers we plant in our back yard will someday fade and die. My favorite shirt will someday wear out.
But Jesus Christ is hear yesterday, today and forever. We can never put Christ's light out.
It might be good after the talk to take the candle with you to the pulpit, and where it can't be seen put it in a cup of water. Who wants to see these candles representing Christ go out? :)
